    Adorned is committed to providing a luxury piercing or welded jewelry experience. We only carry sustainable jewelry that is meant to last and will not have to be replaced due to sensitivity, tarnishing or breakage.

  • How do I get Adorned?

  • Who can get Adorned?

    For the best possible experience and long-term healing outcomes, we accomodate piercings for minors aged 6 and up. This policy is based on anatomical development and ensures we can provide safe, precise placements that support lasting results.

    *If you are under the age of 18, you must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

    For welded jewelry under the age of 6, it is on a case by case basis. Please contact us at adorned@thelexstudio.com to inquire.

  • Do I need to pre-book my appointment?

    Yes, all piercing and welded jewelry appointments must be pre-booked online. We recommend booking in advance to secure your appointment.

  • How far in advance should I book my appointment?

    Appointments can be booked up to 3 months in advance. You can check back for cancellations and reschedules.

  • How long does an appointment take?

    We suggest arriving 10 minutes before your arrival time to sign paperwork and pick out your jewelry. We allow 30 minutes for each appointment to ensure we are performing the service safely and securely.

  • What do I need to bring to my appointment?

    For piercing, you must bring a government issued ID. If you are under the age of 18, you must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

    In the case of piercings of a minor, the parent or legal guardian's government issued ID, proof of parentage or legal guardianship through a certified copy of a birth certificate or court order of guardianship respectively, state-issued photo ID or other Health Authority approved ID for the minor.

  • Where are you located and what are your business hours?

    We are located inside The Lex Studio at 2606 McDowell Street, Augusta, GA 30904.

    Our studio hours are as follows -

    Monday - 10:00am-3:00pm

    Tuesday - 10:00am-6:00pm

    Wednesday - Closed

    Thursday - 11:00am-7:00pm

    Friday - 10:00am-6:00pm

    Saturday - 10:00am-5:00pm

    *Hours are subject to change weekly. Please check our booking calendar for availability.

  • What if I am late to my appointment?

    We will try our best to accommodate your appointment but it is not guaranteed. If you are more than 10 minutes late, we will need to reschedule your appointment.

  • What is your cancellation policy?

    To honor the time reserved exclusively for you, we require a 24 hours’ notice for changes or cancellations. Appointments canceled within 24 hours will incur a $40 service fee.

  • Do you have jewelry available for purchase?

    Yes. All of our piercing jewelry can be purchased as ready-to-wear. Explore here.

  • Can I return my jewelry?

    No. All sales are final. For questions, contact us at adorned@thelexstudio.com

  • Do you sell gift cards?

    Yes. We have gift cards available for purchase in studio as well as online. Please note that gift cards cannot be redeemed when booking online, only when finalizing your payment at your appointment in-studio.

Piercing FAQ

  • What piercings do you offer?

    We offer lobe, upper lobe, helix, forward helix, conch, tragus, anti-tragus, and flat.

    Daith and rook piercings coming soon.

  • How many piercings are possible in an appointment?

    We can perform up to three piercings per appointment to ensure the best healing process.

  • How many people can get pierced in an appointment?

    We can only accommodate one person per appointment to ensure we are safely performing the service. If you’d like to share the experience, please book consecutive appointments.

  • What do you pierce with?

    We pierce with sterile, single-use needles. It is the safest and best method for hygiene, placement, and healing.

  • What type of material are your earrings?

    We only use threadless, flat back posts that are made up of either 14k solid yellow or white gold, or titanium.

    All of our tops are 14k solid yellow or white gold to ensure sustainability, reduce sensitivity and aid healing.

  • What type of earrings are available?

  • What is threadless jewelry?

    Threadless piercing jewelry has no threads at all. The pieces are held together by tension created when the pin of the top is slightly bent and fully pressed into the flat back post. Threadless jewelry is the current leading standard for jewelry across the piercing industry.

  • Can you pierce with butterfly back earrings or hoops?

    We only pierce with threadless flat back posts that are available in different lengths to fit each ear anatomy and aid healing.

  • Can I bring my own earrings to be pierced with?

    To ensure we are adhering to all safety and sterility precautions, we cannot pierce with other jewelry or pre-purchased jewelry from us.

  • What is an aftercare appointment?

    We offer aftercare appointments where our piercers can assess your healing and downsize your jewelry if needed. You can book an aftercare appointment here.

  • What is a jewelry downsize?

    When we pierce, we use a longer threadless flat back post to accommodate any swelling that may occur. We suggest downsizing the post for comfort and aid healing.

  • When will I need to downsize?

    The healing process varies from person to person, however we usually recommend a downsize between 6-12 weeks after being pierced.

  • How do I care for my piercing?

    Being in the habit of caring for your piercings twice a day will assist them in healing faster.

    Rinse your ear with lukewarm water in the shower, to soften debris and avoid buildup. 

    Spray your piercing twice a day for approximately 4-8 weeks with NeilMed Piercing Aftercare Mist. 

    Gently pat dry with a clean cotton pad or tip, or a hairdryer on the cool setting.

    Ensure the ear area is dried off completely and avoid going to bed with wet hair.

    Avoid touching or sleeping your piercing.

    We will provide aftercare instructions during your appointment and send you home with an aftercare card.

  • What if my earring falls out?

    If your earring falls out while your piercing is still healing, please contact us as soon as possible at adorned@thelexstudio.com with your name and number so we can assist you with putting the earring back in safely and securely.

  • What is Ear Edit?

    Ear Edit is a curated piercing design tailored to you. Our expert piercers and designers help you choose the best placement for your timeless pieces. Whether you’re adding piercings or simply replacing your existing jewelry.

Welded Jewelry FAQ

  • What is welded jewelry?

    Welded jewelry, or most commonly known as permanent jewelry, is a custom-fitted chain welded together with no clasp.

  • What is the chain made of?

    We offer 14k solid yellow or white gold chains.

  • Can I take the chain off?

    Since it is welded, it is designed to wear every day. However, should you decide to remove the chain, it can easily be cut on the welded 'jump ring' with scissors. Or you can visit us in-studio and we will be happy to remove it for you. Be sure to keep your chain in case you would like to get it welded in the future.

  • Can I add charms?

    Coming soon.

  • How do I care for my chain?

    We suggest rinsing your chain with soapy water and pat dry. Limit exposure to chlorine and harsh chemicals as this can cause the chain to become brittle and break. If exposed, rinse with soapy water and pat dry.

  • What if my chain breaks or stretches?

    It is always possible for a chain to break or stretch due to your lifestyle and how well you care for your piece.

    If your chain stretches, please book an aftercare appointment so we can assess the chain and see if it can be adjusted and re-welded.

  • What if my chain falls off?

    If your chain has fallen off and you still have it, book an aftercare appointment and we will assess to see if we can re-weld the chain.

    If your chain has fallen off and it is missing, please email us adorned@thelexstudio.com.

    If your chain falls off in the first 30 days and we can re-weld, it is free of charge. If it is after the first 30 days, there will be a small re-welding fee.
